...Emotional Roller-coaster Ride...

That's how I will introduce my view on this years J-Popcon 2009 in Denmark..
My sister and I was very exited about this con.
Two new cosplays had to be posted off, and we wanted to preform on the big stage
of J-Popcon..!

FRIDAY: On Friday we where dressed as Lambo and Gokudera from "Katekyo Hitman Reborn"
We did this with two dear friends, and had a great time!
We where just walking around, doing random stuff, talking to different nice people,
and really enjoyed the first con day..!

SATURDAY: This day was all about the cosplay show! My sister and I had been looking forward
to this, especially because we had this "Halloween Town" act we really where
eager to show of to the people at the con..!
We fleet a lot of stress among the other cosplayer's, because they really had
some amazing cosplays that really took many hours to get on!
We really tried to help our friends getting ready, and we wished the best for
each and everyone of them...

When the show started and everyone was being hopeful, all was very exited!
My sister and I feelt we did a good job, and was pretty satisfied with our
performance, not to mention the applauses we got, which really was awesome!
When it was time for the judges to deliberate, we just had to wait.
Along this judging a lot when so very wrong.. we where being torsted around and
80 % of the time we didn't even know what was going on...
But after a lot of confusion, the winners where being announced..
And to our big surprise my sister and I....WON...!

We won the qualification for WCS in Japan 2010...
So we are going to be representing Denmark..
I was really a huge chock, and we really didn't get we had won at all.
It was all very overwhelming, specially because we never intended to be in this
position...
We are so very happy about it, and it really is a great honour that the judge
believed in our potential of representing Denmark at WCS 2010, especially
because they are all fantastic cosplayers them selves..!

If you'll ever read this, I just want you to know, that all you told us really
touched us deeply, we were so happy you liked our act, and understod our vision
on cosplay, and why WE cosplay. I was very though for us to get through, but we
are all in all so honoured that guys like you, liked us so much..

It really was an astounding experiences this Saturday, and we where so happy to
end it with a few close friends in a local pizza bar. We had a great meal, and
tried to calm down all the expression of the day.

SUNDAY: We dressed up in our Soul Eater cosplays!
Whent back to the con, and sadly had to enter a very frustraiting meeting..
So let's just forget that part
After we finaly go the chance to walk around with our friends and enjoy the con!
I finally got to talk to a lot of people, and could relax by fooling around..!
We heard an nice ending to the con, and got the chance to talk more with the
judges..!


J-Popcon 2009.. Was indeed an emotional roller-coaster ride, so many things happened, which my sister and I never wound had dreamed of..!
No the less I'll speak for myself right now and just tell my friends which knows of my DA, that I truly love you all..! All the support you showed me and my sister, was so hutching I almost fleet crying tears of happiness..! Because what you said, and the hugs, they where just the best ever!

Cosplay means a lot to me, even though I've only been cosplaying for a year.
I must tell, and make it so very clear, so there will be no misunderstandings ever:
- I cosplay because it's such great fun..!
- I cosplay because it challenges my creativity to the extream!
- I cosplay beacuse I want to see the smile on other peolpes faces when I've done something, which not alone makes me happy, but for them aswell.
To see the smile when I'm asked if they could take my picture, and afterwards asks for a hug. That is such a great feeling!
- I cosplay on stage because I want to be entertaining, given the audience an experience they will remember, and perhaps even inspire them to do something like it themselves someday. But I would never go on stage if I didn't feel I had anything special to give.
- I only cosplay figures I adore personally. Not just the looks, but the all in all character which gives me such pleasure to watch and study, and then afterwards transforming myself into this character.. It's such and awesome feeling..!
- Most importantly; the friendships I have gainded beacuse of my cosplay hobby is one of the best things ever. I have such fun, and have never been so happy about a hobby before!
I mean I love drawing and making AMV's, but cosplay is so socially connected, that if as soon as you get into it with a lot of friends, nothing will ever make you quite this passion.


Now I'm so all out of both words and energy.. I would love to go on, but that must be some other time...
